Why are nice jeans so hard to find?

When I like a pair of jeans they are with me for years, because to be honest I rarely find a pair that fit nicely so I tend to wear mine til thay fall off! Imagine my delight when I went to my new local River Island to find a great selection of jeans with a great size range...and they actually fit nicely. You have to try their Longer legs jeans they are great ( I have had trouble with too low a jean in the past exposing a bit too much! These were just right) oh and by the way by longer legs, I don't mean for tall people, that's what they're called. They're not on the website at the moment, but if you go in-store then look out for the silver label on the inside.

My latest purchases reviews

In my stocking at Christmas was Clinique 7 day scrub, Lancome Hydrazen moisturiser for dry skin and Clinique all about eyes and I have to say if you have dry/ flaky skin they are the perfect products. My skin has been battling with the cold weather and central heating, and putting make up on has become a nightmare because of dry patches, the above products have banished them...a miracle!

Just before Christmas I bought Origins Clean Energy oil, and it is lovely it doesn't dry my skin and feels silky and smells divine!

My new want list includes - Clarins true comfort foundation, apprently it has a lovely dewy coverage and great for everyday use.

Tip - Applying cream blusher, apply sparingly with a sponge or small angled blusher brush, Tesco's Barbara Daly does a great one for just under £6, and dab it gently until you get the look you want. If you have a long face sweep accross the cheek, apply it upwards if you have a round face. Mac and Giorgio Armani do nice ones.

First Things First

This is my second blog (my first being about Interior Design www.sortmyhouse.blogspot.com).
I love beauty products, and when I was working full time, it was my hobby to but and try various beauty products (much to my husbands disapproval!). Nowadays since becoming a mum and dropped to part time hours, I have much less disposable income, hence my new rule - one in one out, i.e I can only buy a new foundation when my old one runs out. Sounds boring?? Not so because now instead of having loads of half used bottles cluttering up my bathroom, I now have fewer better selected/ researched products that I actually use (and it has to be said I feel much less guilty for my expenditure these days!)

I used to be an advertisers dream, I would buy anything if it promised to make me prettier, firmer I'm sure that I used to believe that using L'oreal shampoo would give me Claudia Schiffer's hair (of course it had nothing to do with the hours of styling and professional help she had on the ads!).
So after years of trying products and asking random people on the street, and pestering girls in the toilets on nights out, I now have a good knowledge of what's out there, and my friends often turn to me and ask 'which foundation shall I buy?' ' Which eye shadow colour should I chose?' and 'which perfume shall I buy for everyday wear?'.
